I was able to test Andrea's pattern for a little girl's cape and am loving it! It was easy to construct, even being fully lined!
I used a dark blue stretch velvet for my outer fabric and a cotton print for the lining. The velvet was a jumper from my MIL - ya for recycling!
Andrea's instructions are clear with pictures that help explain quite nicely.

With my early Xmas present! A Brother PE770, I was able to machine embroider two hearts onto the front of the cape, of course once it was all done my dear B was upset that I had put the hearts on instead if the monogrammed B that I had tried on some scraps.
I used covered buttons because I couldn't find heart shaped buttons at my local store and didn't have any regular buttons that I wanted to use.
The cape turned out really cute, now to make a wool version so it will be a bit more practical for our cold winter, now that winter has actually arrived.
Hope you are keeping warm!
